* Research collaboration: Graduate symposia, Sandpits, Colloquia and Networking Events promote links among researchers, thus increasing collaboration, cooperation, and the efficient use of resources between our groups.

    * Outreach: Our outreach activities focus on the generation of contacts with industry. The Center pays particular attention to ensuring a continuous dialogue with industrial partners, focusing on new research directions and industrial opportunities that have arisen within ETH Zurich.

    * Education: Master’s theses, projects and seminars can be advertised across the MRC, offering masters students in all involved departments a much richer choice of possible research topics. Colloquia contribute to the interdisciplinary education of our PhD students.

    * Public Relations: The MRC lives through its events, promoting not only research in materials science but also the people related to it, such as for example excellent graduate students.
