Misión

Acts as the national corresponding office for the world Arctic research community in addition to carrying out its own research programme. Since 1991, it has maintained a field laboratory at Ny-Alesund, Svalbard, where research has been carried out in meteorology, glaciology, oceanography and biology. Ice cores have also been obtained from Greenland.
