CEGH. Center for Studies of the Human Genome


Mission

The Centro de Estudos do Genoma Humano (Center for Studies of the Human Genome, CEGH), linked to the University of São Paulo’s Instituto de Biociências (Institute of Biosciences, IB-USP), was created in 2000. It develops basic and applied research and activities connected to education and to technology transfer. CEGH’s staff is comprised of professors, researchers, physicians and specialized technicians, as well as undergraduate and graduate students. In February of 2007 its team had 90 members. CEGH is one of the ten Research, Innovation and Diffusion Centers of the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (State of São Paulo Research Foundation, Fapesp).
